  Editor's Note

Good morning,

Today I'm pleased to share with you my analysis of IT maturity within Australia's state and territory governments, The State of IT.

For the past few months I have been carefully assessing the IT maturity - in terms of policy and practice - of Australia's state and territory governments, to shine a light on current best practice and the areas still subject to neglect. We have compared the states using a set of criteria we've had validated by some of the best minds in the industry.

You can download the full report from today.

Keep an eye on iTnews this week as we dissect the strategies of each state and territory.

And here's the fun part - we'd like to know if those of you working in IT within these governments agree with our assessment.

Once you have read our ratings, you can share your own using our quick survey - the results of which we'll collate and publish next week.

--Paris Cowan
