I'm just tuning in on the TrueCrypt thing. So far "developer temper tantrum" and "lavabit scenario" are the only things that seem plausible.

I think it unlikely that an unknown hacker (a) identified the Truecrypt devs, (b) stole their signing key, (c) hacked their site.
