  Editor's Note

Good morning,

The introduction of the amended Privacy Act has forced Australia's largest organisations to disclose where they send customer data, and the results are staggering.

In today's lead story we list the disclosures of Australia's five largest telcos, four largest retailers, four largest banks, three largest airlines and four car manufacturers to reveal the extent to which data is sent overseas.

If you were in any doubt as to the extent to which Australian companies offshore data services, you won't be any longer.
