  Editor's Note

Good morning,

Later today you should expect to see a few changes on the iTnews web site as we welcome new readers from SC Magazine, Australia's journal for InfoSec professionals.

While we have always covered IT security here at iTnews - expect to see a greater number of stories concerned with the securing of systems over the weeks ahead, starting with a long overdue best practice report for compliance with the amended Privacy Act, which comes into effect two months from today.

As explained in a note to SC readers late last week, we see Information Security as everybody's priority.
