Cloud computing has climbed from fifth place last year to become the top technology priority for 2011 in a Gartner survey of 2,000 global CIOs.

iTnews' editor Brett Winterford isn't quite sure whether to attribute the change in CIO priorities to successful virtualisation projects last year, or effective vendor marketing schemes. What do you think?
