Good afternoon,

The CSIRO has invited vendors, regulators and NBN Co to assess its symmetric, 12Mbps, 'Ngara' fixed wireless prototype.

Targeting the seven percent of Australians who would not receive NBN fibre, the CSIRO claimed that Ngara operated over distances up to 16 kilometres, and required a quarter the transmission towers of current LTE technology.
