EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

BP has bought terms such as "oil spill" from search engine providers including Google to attract users to its website as it attempts to control the worst oil spill in U.S. history.

In other news, IBM has launched a free Lotus Notes Traveler app for the iPad, and the New Zealand Ministry of Education is investing in an SMS notification system to reduce truancy at public secondary schools.
