EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

This morning we take a closer look at the staging facility being set-up by Centrelink at the Canberra Data Centre, as the agency waits for a whole of Government strategy around enterprise computing.

Centrelink has revealed to iTnews that it will be the first in the Federal Government to adopt a modular approach to computing - even if it means the custom-fit of some rather large 'mainframe-killers' into one of the pods.

Stay tuned for more on Centrelink's IT strategy.
