EDITOR'S NOTE

Good Afternoon,

Too often in IT we're so busy looking at dollars and cents or the speeds and feeds to consider those big bags of water (er... humans) operating the equipment.

Two of today's top stories look at the people element - at the ATO, staff claim to have eyesight problems after regular use of a Siebel CRM system, while at Microsoft, Blackberry and iPhone users are facing some discrimination over their choice of device.

Microsoft will no longer foot the bill when its staff use iPhones, Blackberrys or other competing smartphones. But it will pay up, of course, if staff are using a Windows Mobile phone.
