EDITOR'S NOTE

Good Afternoon,

When the Federal Government announced its new blueprint for the NBN, an accompanying discussion paper on regulatory reform hinted strongly toward the possibility of a forced structural separation of Telstra.

The prospect sent competitors, regulators and press alike into dizzying spins of speculation. We certainly read it as being on the table.

Shadow Minister Nick Minchin has more than dampened that speculation, directing a barrage of questions on the matter to Minister Conroy during Senate Estimates.

What do you think? Should Telstra's structural separation be legislated?
