Good afternoon,

It seems while Australian authorities are getting the benefits of international fingerprint database sharing, they aren't adding much to the global resource.

Representatives from Interpol and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security have told the Biometrics Institute conference in Sydney that little of what Australia collects from a fingerprint perspective is shared internationally.

Apparently local authorities are trying to remedy the "oversight". We'll have more from the conference floor soon...
