Good morning,

National Australia Bank has shifted into the second phase of a carbon reduction program that will see it trial cogen, trigen and Kyoto cooling, among other data centre buzzword technologies.

Interestingly, one of its reasons for going down this path is that server virtualisation didn't deliver the level of consolidation promised in the brochureware.

Also, reducing the reliance of data centres on the grid is a big talking point right now, particularly as some centres near (or hit) their maximum available power allocation...
