Good morning,

Apart from many of us being 'stimulated' by the recent cash payments, IT folks might also be interested to know what goes on in the backend to make these payments possible.

Centrelink provided some great insight at CeBIT09 yesterday. A graph showed just how big the spikes in traffic were around the two stimulus packages - and how even telling people the system is down for maintenance won't stop them trying to log in.

Also today, Opposition broadband minister Nick Minchin steps up his campaign for the failed NBN RFP documents and Oracle buys someone else!
