Good morning,

In breaking news, Samsung will release its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in Australia before Christmas - and as soon as Monday - after the High Court reinstated last month's full Federal Court decision overturning the ban.

The tablet will start at $579 for 16GB version with Wi-Fi, while a 3G version will sell for $729.

We'll have more on the story as it develops today.

Apple loses leave to High Court appeal.

Samsung could sell its Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in Australia as early as Monday after Apple lost its special leave application in the High Court this morning.

It is expected Samsung will move forward with a "high-velocity" launch of the tablet, issuing orders to import the Australian version of the tablet into the country as soon as the injunction is lifted at 4pm this afternoon and beginning commercial sales of the device by Monday.

A Samsung spokeswoman confirmed the tablet would be sold at a recommended retail price of $579 for the 16GB Wi-Fi version and $729 for 3G...
