EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

While NBN Co must be somewhat used to the level of sideline noise directed at it by now, even it must be confused at some of the curveballs thrown its way in the past week.

Calls for a focus on mobile voice were predictably (correctly?) branded by iTnews readers as scope creep. But what to make of the City of Sydney exploring a plan to force NBN cables underground, and to underground power cabling at the same time?

One hopes, at minimum, such proposals won't delay the network rollout any further.
