EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Telstra breached Australian privacy legislation and a telco industry code when it published the sensitive details of some 734,000 customers on the internet in December last year. It is the latest twist for Telstra, which has faced intense scrutiny this week over mobile monitoring.

And across the Tasman, New Zealand's equivalent of the NBN has failed to garner much interest from residents, with just 1000 active connections made in its first year.

Have a great weekend!

-- James Hutchinson
