EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Telstra has back-pedaled on plans to shut down a fixed radio access network providing vital voice services to remote towns in Queensland and Western Australia.

The 12-year radio network is now considered unserviceable in parts and has led to outages of up to six days for some residents.

Have a great weekend!

-- James Hutchinson
