EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Interesting to note the NAB is the latest organisation to split the traditional role of the 'CIO' among three key executives.

CommBank's Michael Harte also carries a 'Group Executive' title rather than 'CIO', as does his equivalent at Myer.

Is this a sign of a diminished role for the IT function, or of its maturity? We'd love to hear from you.
