EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

This week, iTnews digs into Qantas' end-user computing upgrade, which will see it move an unspecified number of corporate inboxes to Microsoft's Office 365 data centre in Singapore. The deal comes two years after the airline began moving off a legacy Lotus Notes environment with outsourcer Fujitsu.

We also reveal details of a major restructure that could make 100 Qantas IT roles redundant as of 1 August. CIO Paul Jones says the airline's IT headcount will remain stable, but 100 roles will be "fundamentally changed".
