Good afternoon,
Today I'm writing to let you know of some changes to the security newsletter service you subscribed to at Haymarket Media/iTnews.com.au.
For the past 18 months, iTnews has provided an IT security bulletin that wrapped up the week in InfoSec every Monday afternoon.
Subscriptions to this service have grown steadily, and we hope that you have found it valuable.
Over time, however, we have noticed that most readers of our security content read stories within minutes or relatively few hours of the story breaking. Common sense would suggest that this owes to the criticality of the information being provided: risks need to be identified and mitigated as quickly as possible.
We also noted that many of our most popular stories were written by the team at SC (Secure Computing) Magazine, led by editor Darren Pauli.
So as of today we have decided to replace the iTnews Security Bulletin with that of SC Magazine.
You will still enjoy the same high quality of stories from both teams, but SC Magazine will send out a bulletin at those times information is most critical, rather than according to a pre-determined schedule.
iTnews, meanwhile, will focus our energy on returning to our twice-daily technology newswire, which has grown to become the most trusted in Australia.
We trust you'll continue to support us as we strive to deliver you a better service.
