EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Iranian hackers are believed to be behind numerous denial of service attacks conducted against several large US banks, in what has been alleged are reactions to financial sanctions placed on the country.

The news comes as the Iran Government confirmed blocks on most of Google's services in the country, in protest against the YouTube video, Innocence of Muslims.

And ASIO has provided the first concrete evidence of what the Federal Government wants Australian telcos to keep under the proposed data retention regime.
