EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Hackers have demanded $US1 million from Pricewaterhouse Coopers after claiming to have cracked its network and stolen a record of US presidential candidate Mitt Romney's tax returns.

And Huawei has blamed commercial and political jousting for government suspicion of its products, claiming it had "never damaged any nation" and would not tolerate illegal activity.
