Domain name regulator ICANN has apologised for inadvertently publishing the full contact details of generic top-level domain (gTLD) applicants last week in what was the second privacy misstep in its gTLD application process.

We also look at the adoption of "strike-back" technology by US firms. Some hacking victims have retaliated by hiring contractors to hack an assailant's systems...
