EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Melbourne data centre operator Micron21 has deployed two-factor authentication for a portal that allows customers to remotely manage their virtual server infrastructure.

And researchers who discovered Duqu -- the so-called "Son of Stuxnet" -- have released an open source toolkit to help network administrators detect it. Microsoft has not yet issued a permanent fix, but Iran claims to have developed software to combat the trojan and is checking "computers at all main sites at risk".
