Security vendor Arbor Networks has described mobile data networks operators as "accidental ISPs", with the networks poorly designed to withstand DDoS attacks.

Also, zero-day vulnerabilities in the Blackboard e-learning platform has allowed Australian security professionals to access students' personal information and databases in which student exams, assignments and grades were stored.
