EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

It's been awhile since we've seen the pre-budget feeding frenzy as agencies rush to mop up any surplus funds before the end of the financial year.

With Finance's one-off 2.5 percent efficiency dividend and a 20 percent reduction in departmental capital budgets taking effect next financial year, the lead-up to July will be particularly interesting.

ACCC's rushed timetable for its new website is likely just the first of many to come in the next few months.
