EDITOR'S NOTE

Greetings,

Agency representatives at a cloud security conference today were warned against international cloud companies - whether or not they have data centres in Australia.

According to academic, author and former CIO Rob Livingstone, the US Patriot Act and other international laws could allow foreign governments to access cloud data, so a hybrid private Government cloud could be a better option.

What do you think?
