EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

The Department of Defence's Greg Farr expects to see the end of million-dollar IT programs as the department moves away from monolithic projects towards "lots of little projects delivered frequently and evolutionarily".

Your regular Government IT editor, John Hilvert, is away on leave for the next three weeks but is still thinking up "Five things I love about AusTender" as promised. I'll be bringing you the latest from Canberra, states and territories until he returns.
