EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

The Commonwealth Bank has begun offering NetBank customers a 'virtual safety deposit box' allowing them to store up to 1000 personal files. According to CIO Michael Harte, there are no set storage limits for users, but the bank will monitor the boxes for potentially illegal files.

And the NSW Government's contract to consolidate 130 data centres into two new Metronode facilities gives the state first right of refusal for other tenants in those data centres. We dig into the ramifications.
