EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Microsoft has promised a 33 percent discount to some Windows Azure customers this billing month as an apology for a two-day outage on February 29. We look at why the leap day caused the problems.

We also talk with Ranstad's regional CIO about how the company will gradually migrate servers and applications to Telstra's cloud.

Have a great day,

-- James Hutchinson
