EDITOR'S NOTE

Good Afternoon,

Senator Stephen Conroy continued to wedge the opposition into all kinds of unflattering positions today whilst speaking at the National Press Club in defence of the latest plan for a National Broadband Network.

Mocking the Liberal Party's alternate costings for consumer access to the NBN, Conroy also claimed the FTTP component of the new network may well reach well beyond 90 per cent of the Australian population.

A spokesperson for Conroy also confirmed the Government registered its new NBN company on April 8, but is yet to confirm the name of the company.
