Telstra has not only put together a policy on how its staff should use social networks, but has also commendably taken the policy to the public to hold it up to greater scrutiny.

After the mess of the Fake Stephen Conroy saga, one could just as easily argue that this 'forward-looking approach' was also a little overdue.
