EDITOR'S NOTE

Good Afternoon,

The Federal Government is looking to have Australia's wireless spectrum assets valued in the lead-up to upcoming auctions.

Service providers will be hoping the Government doesn't repeat past mistakes, in which spectrum assets were sold at prices that ultimately made it difficult to profit from mobile broadband services.

To date, ACMA's detailed strategy looks far more sophisticated than the show-me-the-money auctions of the Alston era.
