EDITOR'S NOTE

Good Afternoon,

The Commonwealth Bank today confirmed it will make a far wider commitment to securing its Internet Banking service.

The two-factor authentication used by its premium customers will soon be available to all online transactions with the bank.

The decision reflects the risk Internet-based fraud poses to banks and their customers, and sends a strong signal to CBA's competitors to up their own investments in security.
