Good evening,

We lead the weekend edition with an analysis of whether Vodafone and Hutchison's 3G spectrum assets will together be viewed unfavourably from a competition standpoint.

According to the piece, there is some level of precedent for spectrum to be considered in this way.

Ultimately, it may end up with one or both parties needing to divest some to see the merger go ahead, but few telcos, even competitors, are pushing the issue hard with regulators. Interesting times...
