EDITOR'S NOTE

TelePresence has to date been more of a 'like to have' rather than a 'need to have' in most organisations.

Even weighed against our rather urgent requirements to cut down on carbon emissions, the price tags for TelePresence technologies are simply too exorbitant for most private sector companies to consider.

Thankfully for Cisco and Telstra, the usually-frugal folk at the Department of Finance have deep pockets and are splashing out on twenty TelePresence units.

Do you plan to deploy TelePresence anytime soon?
