EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Telstra has joined the GSMA in calling for spectrum currently reserved for analogue TV in Australia to be reallocated for mobile broadband.

Sol Trujillo told the Mobile World Congress that some clarity on spectrum handover would be good in a 'this year' timeframe.

But given analogue TV networks aren't going to be switched off until at least 2013, that deadline might prove a challenge.
