Researchers at the University of Southern Australia have developed a radio communications system that can be used for fleet management or to warn other cars in the area of road obstacles.

Cars are fitted with units that combine Wi-Fi and GPS technology.

Among other things that lets them 'see around corners' and advise the driver of any risks before he or she encounters them. Got to love Aussie ingenuity...
