EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

The Starlight Foundation's new online community for disabled and seriously ill young people, called Livewire, launched today after 18 months of development.

One of the great benefits of the site - apart from the obvious support - is that Livewire also has funding to be deployed to the bedside of children in a number of major hospitals.

The team is currently putting ADSL and wireless broadband connections into the hospitals and is also said to be close to finalising deals with hardware and telco providers.
