EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Late yesterday the Government finally broke its silence about the ISPs that have been accepted into the first round of net filter trials.

The six to make the first cut are certainly not going to be crowd pleasers, with iPrimus the most recognisable name (and some, quite possibly, not recognisable at all).

We'll know more later this morning on the status of applications by larger ISPs such as iiNet and Optus. We'd not like to think they get excluded for good.
