EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Activ8me has inked a wholesale agreement with Optus today that means it will now sell satphone services and handsets via the Thuraya network in addition to satellite broadband via IPSTAR.

The company has Globalstar and Iridium users in its sights, and some launch offers that, with government subsidies, could be quite attractive to existing satphone users.

Of course, ongoing success could be stalled somewhat if the Federal Government doesn't renew the handset subsidy scheme. Let us know what you think.
