EDITOR'S NOTE

Good afternoon,

Skype is attempting to position itself to better capture the SMB market as it releases version 4.0 of its client for Windows.

The company said around a third of its customer base are business users - it is obviously hoping that improvements to audio and video and an easier installation process, coupled with uncertain economic times, will encourage more businesses to make the switch.

There's also rumour of a native iPhone app to be launched in Barcelona. No doubt a few people will be sweating on that...
