Good morning,

Some interesting moves out of the Mozilla camp this morning with some US$100k being put towards further development of open source audio and video codec standards.

Seems the video codec, Theora, will get native support in Firefox 3.1.

If that happens, it could break the stranglehold players like Microsoft, Adobe and Apple have on web videos - and break a lucrative royalty stream, too. We watch with interest...
