EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Well.. perhaps except if you're one of the Seagate customers affected by their firmware fix which has disabled access to some Barracuda drives.

The update was supposed to address a problem that caused drives to freeze; now it seems some customers can't access their data, period.

Apparently there 'should' be a better firmware update available within 24 hours, or they'll recover your data for free.
