EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

With most eyes on CES 2009 in Las Vegas, security firms have warned eager Windows 7 beta testers not to rush out and download the versions that have been leaked to p2p sites over the last week or so.

They argue the code may be infected and that Windows 7 would be a smart place to embed and propagate malware because of the high level of interest in it.

Speaking of operating systems, there are also reports of Linux adoption increasing thanks to the netbook market. It's an area that will be very interesting to watch, particularly with the laptops for senior school students project in Australia.
