EDITOR'S NOTE

Morning everyone,

Welcome to the first edition of iTnews for the New Year. We hope you had a great break - and if you're still on it, lucky you!

Our top story today has to be Steve Jobs ending months of speculation over his apparent ill health.

Word is that it's a hormone imbalance - a 'nutritional problem' he's already started treatment for. It means he's staying on as Apple chief, too - perhaps the rumour mill around his pullout from Macworld is then unfounded...

In any event, like most geeks we just want to see what new kit his company comes up with in the next few days!
