EDITOR'S NOTE

Hi everyone,

Everything's coming up VoIP today, with Telstra and Audi Australia rolling out unified communications systems internally, and ACMA proposing changes to the way 'VoIP out' numbers are managed.

Telstra's deal is particular large, covering 10,000 staff. Yes, it's using their own service offering, but some of the other stuff they plan to enable (tie-ins with Microsoft and Polycom kit) will make this a pretty interesting deployment.

This is also our final e-newsletter for 2008. A big thank you for all your support this year, and we look forward to catching up with you in what will be a huge 2009 for iTnews.

We return on 6th January 2009. In the meantime, have a safe break and happy new year!
