EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

Google has hit back at claims that it is seeking preferential treatment from broadband firms in the U.S., saying it had only been seeking to establish edge caching instead.

Also this morning, the CES rumour mill is flying with Palm the latest to promise product announcements around its OS. We're looking forward to a new year with some funky new products, that's for sure.
