EDITOR'S NOTE

Good morning,

You may have heard that our own industry Senator has embarked on his latest project - a 'blog' about all things under his department's gaze, including internet filtering.

He has a point in doing it. Sites like Telstra's nowwearetalking have helped them advance their views and led to some pretty intense discussions. No reason why the Department can't also engage in the same semi-controlled fashion.

And the fact it's only approving comments during public sector office hours? A mere teething problem, we hope. Bring on some lively discussion!
