EDITOR'S NOTE

Afternoon everyone,

The latest instalment of the net filters debate is potentially an interesting one, with the government looking to engage those in the age group most likely to try and break whatever walls are put in front of them.

It'll be interesting to see how, if at all, the formation of a youth advisory shapes Conroy's policy on net filtering and cyber-safety. One imagines if it's something their parents support, kids won't get too excited at the prospect of having their traffic monitored - and won't be shy about saying no either.

Speaking of traffic, the other main story today is Telstra's successful commercial data call using HSPA evolution technology. It's a bit of a stretch to look at it as an NBN replacement, but who can say no to higher speed wireless Internet?
